Join us at a Santa Monica home on June 18th for delicious vegan food from Chef Rawsheed, inspiring speakers, enchanting music, and a silent auction to benefit the Changemakers Center.

The Changemakers Center is a social justice center started by Prabhat Gautam that will host events 7 days a week, including documentary screenings, celebrity charity interviews, art events, vegan cooking classes, lectures, anti-bullying workshops, media trainings, and fundraisers for non-profits.

As part of “Celebrities Give Back,” Positive Television brings you thoughtful and inspiring conversations from a wide range of celebrities about the causes and issues that matter to them.

Bill Cosby, Jerry Sandusky, OJ Simpson, some Catholic priests, some college campuses, and some millitary bases have been involved with participating in victimizing either children, women, or men. When the victims spoke up, they often weren’t believed by the insitutions of power and their cases were hidden from the public. This conversation won’t focus much on any one individual or nstitution and is really more focused on how to get instituitons of power to listen when crimes are being reported.

SPEAKERS
Charlotte Laws – Author of “Rebel in High Heels” who gaied national fame when she helped lead the prosecution of a webite that had naked photos of individuals without their concent.

Alexia Anastasio – Filmmaker, producer, actress, and coach. She has a long history in advocating for the rights of the GLBTQ community.

Chrystal Ferber – Undercover investigator who has been involved in animal advocacty and a wide range of social justice issues.

Moderated by Julia Orr
Julia Orr is a long time activist and PR expert. She has been on the frontlines of raising awareness about animal rights, human rights, and environemtnal issues.

Prior to the panel, we will have a conversation with:
Dave Shelton award winning film and television writer, cartoonist, musician and author with credits including Everybody Loves Raymond and National Lampoon. Dave will be interviewing Jacqueline Mackzie (American Idol) and her mom Liane Curtis (Sixteen Candles)

Blly McNamara (Copycat) & Andy Dick (Actor) will talk about their charitable involvement and their journey to find sobriety.

8:20pm – Interview with Andy Dick & Bonnie-Jill Laflin
Andy Dick will participate in an interview with Bonnie-Jill Laflin where Andy will talk about his success in Hollywood, his very public battle with substance abuse and how this has impacted his life. Andy is known for being over the top, but this interview will show the full picture of this thoughtful, reflective individual who truly cares about people, animals, and the world around him.

8:40pm – Debra Wilson “You”
Debra Wilson, best known for her work on MAD TV, will participate in a conversation with the audience entitled “You.” Her focus is helping each person be the best you that you can be.
